The Plaza at Harbour Island
Though still under construction, the beautiful new Plaza at Harbour Island, Tampa, promises to be one of the city’s most lavish and desirable addresses. The structure includes two 20-story towers as well as luxury townhomes, all built around the central Palm Court pool deck. When completed in Spring 2007, the Plaza will provide a total of 300 units in Downtown Tampa, close to Harbour Island and Channelside restaurants and entertainment facilities, the St. Pete Times Forum, and Florida Aquarium. Ybor City, for shopping and dining, is only a quick streetcar ride away. The Plaza provides spacious floor plans to accommodate singles as well as larger families. Seven ground-floor townhomes range from two bedroom/2.5 bathroom layouts of 1,750 square feet up to 2,050 square feet. These two-level homes include spacious terraces on both floors and separate dining rooms for in-home entertaining. All front on the lush landscaping of the Palm Court, which includes a swimming pool and spa, sauna, and fitness center.
Twin towers rise at the opposite end of the Palm Court deck, with 17 Mediterranean-styled “casitas” on floors three and four. These include one bed/1.5 bath residences starting at 1,750 square feet, along with two-story, two- and three-bedroom homes with as much as 3,400 square feet. The casitas also feature separate dining rooms, some with family and great rooms, all with roomy terraces. Above the fifth floor in the towers, 118 units are designed with three bedroom/3.5 baths occupying up to 4,800 square feet. All provide separate living and dining areas, and terraces. Floor plans are open and truly spacious, and all take advantage of spectacular views of Tampa Bay and the Downtown area. In addition to Palm Court amenities, The Plaza at Harbour Island offers residents a full-time concierge, valet parking, meeting and social rooms, and a resident business center. The developer, Patrinely Group, notes that The Plaza has been designed to combine a resort or village ambience with the convenience of urban living. Pricing ranges from $400,000 to $3 million.
