Silver Tower
Silver Tower, at 303 W. Ohio Street, Chicago, was designed to be a work of art as well as a high-rise residential condo. The 38-story, glass, metal, and concrete structure combines a base featuring strong horizontal lines with a soaring tower built around strong vertical columns, so that the building appears to be floating over the base. A curved wall of glass on the northwest side reflects the sky and city skyline, enhancing Silver Tower’s lighter-than-air feeling. Located in the River North area just across the Chicago River from the Loop downtown area, developer Stonegate Development wanted Silver Tower to stand as a welcoming landmark for the new community. In keeping with the creative and entrepreneurial spirit of the neighborhood, Silver Tower is surprisingly affordable (starting around $200,000) and is being marketed to aspiring young professionals and to families seeking the convenience and verve of an urban lifestyle.
Silver Tower provides a total of 203 condo residences, ranging from one bedroom/one bath units of about 850 square feet, to three bedroom/2.5 baths in a more than 1,800-square-foot space. Many units include an enclosed den/office that can double as a guest bedroom. All residences have a balcony, and some have two. Inside are hardwood floors and richly carpeted bedrooms, painted millwork, and floor-to-ceiling windows to show off the spectacular views of the city below. Kitchens are equipped with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops, and maple or cherry cabinetry with a choice of finishes. Master bedroom suites provide spacious walk-in closets and bathrooms with separate soaking tubs and showers, all with crema marfil marble finishes and surrounds.
Building amenities include round-the-clock doorman service, a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center, private storage, and optional deeded garage parking. Silver Tower’s Sky Lobby provides a common terrace area and community room, and residents have access to a rooftop garden and dog run.
The rapidly-growing River North area is minutes from Loop business and financial centers, near the Merchandise Mart and East Bank Club. Being redeveloped from industrial and warehouse space, River North offers a wealth of eclectic dining, shopping, and entertainment options, and is walking distance from North Michigan Avene.
