325 Fifth Avenue
Construction is now underway on New York City’s tallest Downtown condominium residence. Located opposite of the Empire State Building, 325 Fifth Avenue is a towering 50 stories of glass, boasting panoramic city and river views. When it is complete in early 2006, it will contain 250 unique and beautiful homes. The luxury units range in size from 750 square feet one bedrooms to spacious three bedrooms homes at 2,500 square feet. The unique, shimmering building features setback terraces and balconies.
The impressive lobby boasts black granite floors. The effect is softened by suede tufted rectangles that cover the walls. A waterfall and wood coffered ceiling add to the ambiance. Buyers will be offered an extensive amenity package that includes a pool, spa, lounge, state-of-the-art gym, media room, business center, and children’s center.
The building has replaced three six story buildings and a parking lot. 325 Fifth Avenue’s amazing exterior has already positively changed the landscape of Fifth Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets. In addition to the stunning homes, the building will also include 6,000 square feet of retail space and underground parking. Residents will also have access a meticulously landscaped 7,000 square foot plaza and outdoor balcony.
This $190 million project is a joint venture between Continental Properties and Douglaston Development. It is one of the first recent large-scale development projects in what is considered to be a hot and up and coming area. The neighborhood, which has received the nickname "SoFi," is convenient to some New York’s best shopping areas and attractions. Demand for the units is strong. In the first three months of sales, more than 215 of the 250 units were sold.
