The Centria
The Centria is about to open at 16 West 48th Street, becoming the first luxury condominium residences in Rockefeller Center. This destination address has created a lot of excitement and buzz in the real estate industry, for both its fabulous location and unique exterior.
The 34-story building was designed to appear as a glass curtain hanging in the skyline. The innovated and awe-inspiring material will change colors depending on the light. The shimmering building will contain 152 homes. Sizes per unit will range from about 800 square feet to 1,100 square feet. Prices for the units are going from about $1,350 to $1,400 a foot. The mixed-use building will hold a spa on the first floor. The second floor will consist of a conference center, lounge, and club room for residents. JD Carlisle Development Corp. is backing the project. The Perkins Eastman Architects are responsible for the stunning exterior. Philip Koether is designing the interiors.
Homeowners will enjoy living in right near Rockefeller Center. They will be just steps away from the world-famous ice skating rink and Christmas tree. The neighborhood is filled with hundreds of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The Centria’s fantastic location is perfect, whether residents want to run everyday errands, go out for a night on the town, or give their guests access to some of the best tourist attractions in New York City. Living at The Centria is sure to provide unparalleled convenience for those who love living in the center of it all. The building is expected to be complete in late 2005.
