The Victory Building
Looking at the beautiful building on the corner of 10th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia, it is hard to believe that this historic treasure was once slated to be torn down. The 1873 classic French building was saved and now is home to some of the nicest and affordable condominiums in the city.
The Victory Building is one of Philadelphia’s best examples of Second Empire design, which is known for its mansard roofs. Now listed in the National Register and the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, the former New York Mutual Life Insurance Company building has been restored from top to bottom. The magnificent soaring high ceilings and dramatic lobby have remained intact. However, now the building holds one and two bedroom homes. Each spacious unit comes with original hardwood flooring or carpeting, open kitchens with granite countertops, and luxurious baths.
The location provides easy access to all of the entertainment, shopping, and dining in Center City. To the east is the hippest section of town, Old City. To the West is the famous and elegant Rittenhouse Square, known for its tree lined streets and home to the city’s Restaurant Row. Because it is directly across the street from Jefferson University Hospital and very close to other medical facilities, the location is perfect for healthcare professionals.
There will never be a better time to buy a home in The Victory Building. The city is offering a nine year real estate tax abatement. Philadelphia Management oversaw the renovation and now operates this chic building.
