Azure
Developer Harwood International is redeveloping a 12-block area of Uptown Dallas, Texas, that, when complete, will include four office buildings, retail and public spaces, as well as a striking 31-story residential condo called, simply, Azure. Designed by architect James Cheung, Azure is made of stone and steel and is sheathed in blue glass. Its base is surrounded by pools and lush, landscaped gardens, so that the building will appear to be floating on the cool, blue water around it. The gardens are being carefully designed to provide private spaces with scented plants and flowers, jetted water features and waterfalls.
Azure’s 202 residential units also reflect a serene and comfortable lifestyle. Buyers can choose from 10 different floor plans, starting from one-bedroom units of a roomy 1,085 square feet, to three bedrooms plus family room of 3,081 square feet. Residences include spacious terraces – too large to be called “balconies” – most outfitted with a gas fireplace, and with an electric fireplace inside. Foyers and bathrooms feature stone flooring with hand-laid hardwoods in other living spaces. Custom millwork is optional. Kitchens provide Euro-style cabinetry, stone counter tops, and stainless steel appliances. Closet space is abundant, with walk-ins even in most secondary bedrooms.
Even these luxurious appointments may be eclipsed by Azure’s amenities, which include private cabanas at a residents-only sunbathing area around private swimming and wading pools; a fully-equipped fitness center with whirlpool, yoga room, private saunas, and separate locker rooms for men and women; a private, 17-seat movie theater; library; lounge; private boardroom for business events; parking in enclosed garages within the parking garage; and a multi-functional entertainment room with a spacious terrace for hosting private parties.
Azure is located at McKinnon and Wolff Streets, near the upscale Turtle Creek area of Dallas, and just as close to the world-class shopping and dining of Uptown. The new Dallas Center for the Performing Arts is planned nearby, and Azure residents are only steps away from the Nasher Sculpture Center, Dallas Symphony Hall, and Dallas Theater Center. A variety of sports and other entertainment resources are within blocks.
