Tuscany Towers
A much anticipated condo tower is going up on Arapaho Road at Prestonwood Boulevard in Dallas. The Tuscany will contain 134 luxury homes, overlooking the Prestonwood Country Club. The 5 ½ acre site in Far North Dallas will appeal to affluent buyers who want all of the convenience of living in a condominium without sacrificing the comforts of larger homes.
Although many details about the project have not been released, developer Silver Tree Partners says the tower will consist of 15 floors. Custom interiors will include high-end fixtures and furnishes. Silver Tree Partners expects construction to be complete toward the end of 2007, although they are currently accepting down payments for the units. So far, about 60 legitimate buyers have expressed interest. A condominium at the Tuscany will start at about $450,000.
This property is being developed with the baby boomer generation in mind. The developers say many of their future buyers want the convenience of living in a condominium, but do not want to relocate downtown. The units will also be more spacious than standard condos because many of the homeowners will be downsizing from bigger homes and want to retain the feeling of a large living environment.
Tuscany is close to many shopping areas, restaurants, and entertainment venues in Addison. Of course, its location next to three golf courses is also a big attraction for those who want to live where they can walk to the links. Residents will also enjoy views of a three acre lake.
